420 Spring Series Champrioship
After the 420 training weekend in early April, here's an opportunity for our fantastic cool kid sailors to put those learnings into practice: the Spring Championship Series!
The 420 Spring Championship Series will take place at the sailing club over five Sundays, starting on Sunday, April 27th, and continuing each Sunday in May. Note that, if Sunday is clearly poor conditions, Saturdays may be substituted. Up to three races are scheduled each race day commencing at 10:30 AM with all participants ashore by 2:00 PM, so those who need to study can get some hours in. This series will determine an overall individual champion, even though the 420 is a double-handed boat, pairings may change over the weeks. A winning boat will also be recognized each race day. With a total of up to 15 races, the series allows for two days of absence, also accommodating those with Junior Cert commitments.
