Pre instructor June 23-26 & August 4-8
If you are over 16 years old on June 23rd and continue to be passionate about sailing, we're offering a comprehensive pre-instructor course designed to equip you with the skills, techniques, and theoretical knowledge necessary for success in upcoming instructor certification programs.
This intensive course will provide a thorough review of key sailing principles and best practices, led by experienced Senior and Advanced Instructors. The program will be delivered in two week long blocks, and will ensure dedicated and high-quality training. Participants will need access to a double-handed dinghy.
Key Safety Control: We have a requirement to have parents present each day to act as shore parents. To help ensure compliance, each week has designated groups identified to cover this role. Once you have signed up to a course, please use this link to sign up for some times. Note that we cannot launch any levels in the morning or afternoon until shore parents are present. See below for course level assignments to shore duty
Booking Information:
- Courses can be booked online on the LDYC website starting today.
- A non-refundable deposit of 10% is required at the time of booking.
- Further payment will be due by March 31st 2025.
Important Notes:
- LDYC membership is required for all participants.
- Places may be limited on some courses, so we encourage you to book early to avoid disappointment.
