Junior Sailing Course 2024

This Programme includes all levels of the Irish Sailing Association's Small Boat Sailing Scheme, from Taste of Sailing all the way through the Junior Sailing Course to Instructor Level, with a strong emphasis on having fun while enjoying watersports and sailing in a safe environment.

• The 2024 sailing courses will start on Monday July 1st and run over a 6 week period up to our Annual Regatta with all levels running at least twice during the 6 weeks.
• Participants must be a fully paid up member in order to partake in the sailing courses. Non-members interested in joining these courses can apply for Membership by contacting membership@ldyc.ie.
• Excluding Monsters and Taste of Sailing participants must have their own boat, or a confirmed place in a boat, that is suitable for the level they wish to complete.
• Participants must be the appropriate age for the level they wish to complete.
• The sailing courses will be available for booking from Saturday March 2nd at 10am and will remain open for booking until the end of June.
• When a course becomes full a waitlist will become available. Waitlist participants will only be confirmed once final Instructor numbers are available to ensure we meet required Irish Sailing ratios and LDYC safety standards.

Please note 

- LDYC membership is required to access sailing courses on the website.

- Payment for courses can be made via gocardless or credit/debit card at the time of booking. We would strongly request that you use gocardless for payment as this costs the club less. 

• Automatic payment via gocardless will be taken in 1-2 days after booking. For those of you set up to manually pay via gocardless payment must be made before May 31st to secure your place on the course.
